STUDENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

At Watchman Music Center, we strive to create a productive, respectful, and engaging learning environment for all our students. To ensure a smooth and enriching experience during online classes, students are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

1. General Expectations

  • Attend classes punctually and remain present for the entire duration.

  • Maintain a respectful attitude toward instructors and fellow students at all times.

  • Keep communication polite, constructive, and relevant to the class.

2. Technical Requirements

  • Ensure a stable internet connection and access to necessary devices (e.g., computer, microphone, camera).

  • Test all equipment prior to the class to avoid disruptions.

  • Use the designated platform and log in with your registered name.

3. Classroom Behavior

  • Dress appropriately, as you would for an in-person class.

  • Keep your microphone muted unless instructed otherwise to minimize background noise.

  • Use headphones if possible to improve audio quality.

  • Avoid distractions, such as eating, browsing unrelated websites, or attending to non-class-related activities.

4. Preparation and Participation

  • Review assigned materials and practice exercises prior to class.

  • Have your instrument (if applicable) and other materials ready before the session starts.

  • Actively participate by asking questions, contributing to discussions, and completing assigned tasks.

5. Recording and Privacy

  • Do not record classes without explicit permission from the instructor.

  • Respect the privacy of others by refraining from sharing screenshots, recordings, or personal information of classmates or instructors.

6. Academic Integrity

  • Submit your own work for assignments and assessments.

  • Avoid any form of plagiarism or dishonest behavior.

  • Inform instructors immediately if you suspect any academic dishonesty.

7. Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Notify the instructor promptly if you experience technical difficulties.

  • Follow any troubleshooting guidelines provided by Watchman Music Center.

8. Disciplinary Actions

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • A warning from the instructor.

  • Temporary removal from the online session.

  • Reporting to administration for further action, including suspension or expulsion from the course.
